Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colonie Central). Everything went their way against the Bethlehem Central Eagles on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-3 victory. While the Wolfpack didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Braden Fields tossed a big game, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Carter Hufland was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Carter Epting was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Colonie Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Colonie Central's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Bethlehem Central, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
