Basketball Game Preview: Woods Cross Wildcats vs. Bountiful RedHawks

Woods Cross is 1-9 against Bountiful since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Woods Cross Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Bountiful RedHawks at 5:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Woods Cross needed a bit of extra time to put away Northridge. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 53-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Bountiful waltzed into their game on Wednesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They claimed a resounding 71-20 victory over the Royals. Given the RedHawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Royals are ranked 76th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woods Cross better keep an eye on Taylor Harvey. She was instrumental in Bountiful's win, putting up 19 points. Milika Satuala was another key player, earning 16 points.

Bountiful pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Woods Cross, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.

Woods Cross took a serious blow against Bountiful when the teams last played back in January, falling 58-19. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Woods Cross was down 32-11.
