Volleyball Recap: Lindbergh Flyers vs. Seckman Jaguars

Lindbergh was the 2-0 winner over Seckman when they last played one another back in September of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Lindbergh Flyers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seckman Jaguars on Wednesday. The Flyers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Lindbergh had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19.

Leading Seckman to victory were Ava Hall and Zoe Matus. Hall had seven digs and two aces, while Matus had ten digs, eight kills, and six aces. Matus is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last seven games she's played dating back to last season.

Lindbergh's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Seckman, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Lindbergh will head out on the road to challenge Westminster Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seckman, they will welcome Kirkwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Seckman is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
