Basketball Recap: Pocahontas Comes Up Short

Pocahontas lost against Blytheville on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pocahontas Redskins might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 58-47 to the Blytheville Chickasaws, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pocahontas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Blytheville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Pocahontas will be playing at home against Westside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blytheville, they will head out to challenge Gosnell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blytheville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Gosnell likes a good challenge.
