Football Recap: Cumberland Gap Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cumberland Gap lost against Scott back in September of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers had to suffer through a 50-16 loss at the hands of the Highlanders. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Cumberland Gap's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Scott, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Cumberland Gap will face off against South Greene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels' defense has only allowed 13.3 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Scott, they will venture away from home to face off against Union County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
