Volleyball Recap: St. John's Prep Gets the Win

St. John's Prep extended their postseason success on Friday against Holy Cross. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights. This was a revenge game for the Red Storm: when they faced off against the Knights last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

The win didn't come easy: Holy Cross scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 27-25, 25-21.

Eric Stankiewicz paced St. John's Prep's offense, picking up 17 kills. Stankiewicz got some help from Aleksi Pilinci and his 26 assists. Patrick Rouse controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

The victory got St. John's Prep back to even at 9-9-2. As for Holy Cross, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
