Preview: Northeast Metro RVT Knights vs. Minuteman Regional Minuteman
Northeast Metro RVT has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Minuteman Regional Minuteman at 5:30 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Thursday, Northeast Metro RVT came up short against Greater Lawrence Tech and fell 54-41. Northeast Metro RVT has struggled against Greater Lawrence Tech recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their loss, Northeast Metro RVT saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Chris Zullo, who scored nine points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Murphy, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Minuteman Regional had to suffer through a rough 68-38 loss at the hands of Keefe Tech.
Northeast Metro RVT's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Minuteman Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Northeast Metro RVT took their win against Minuteman Regional in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 76-53. With Northeast Metro RVT ahead 43-22 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
