Forrest had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Cascade Champions. That's two games straight that the Rockets have won by exactly five runs.

Forrest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lane Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Forrest pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cascade, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7-1 record this season.
