Baseball Recap: Windermere Prep Wins Going Away Against Circle Christian

Windermere Prep barely beat Circle Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lakers were the clear victors by a 19-7 margin over the Centurions on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Lakers, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Windermere Prep got a massive performance out of Reggie Manzano, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave Manzano a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Joshua Goldberg, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Windermere Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Windermere Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Circle Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will take on Lake Highland Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Circle Christian, they will face off against Crooms Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Centurions are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
