Football Game Preview: Thousand Oaks Lancers vs. Calabasas Coyotes

The Thousand Oaks Lancers will square off against the Calabasas Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Thursday, Thousand Oaks lost to Newbury Park at home by a 26-7 margin. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the Panthers are ranked 84th).

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Calabasas' offense. They had to suffer through a 60-0 loss at the hands of Agoura.

Thousand Oaks has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season. As for Calabasas, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Everything came up roses for Thousand Oaks against Calabasas when the teams last played on September 4th, as the squad secured a 36-0 victory. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
