Baseball Game Preview: Palmyra Panthers vs. Westampton Tech Panthers

For the second straight game, Palmyra will face off against Westampton Tech. Palmyra will be playing at home against Westampton Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmyra has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Palmyra lost 18-9 to Westampton Tech. Palmyra hasn't had much luck with Westampton Tech recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

For Westampton Tech's part, they got a massive performance out of Austin Mochernuk, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Mochernuk a new career-high. Jeret Torres was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Westampton Tech is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Palmyra, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
