St. James hasn't had much luck against Myrtle Beach recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The St. James Sharks are taking a road trip to take on the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. St. James is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

St. James was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Socastee 2-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Sharks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kai Fakhouri was the driving force of St. James' attack as he scored both of St. James' goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Meanwhile, Myrtle Beach faced Nation Ford in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Myrtle Beach who was credited with the win. Myrtle Beach got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Nation Ford's four. The Seahawks found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Yarin Bouskila and Matthias Moreira were both handed yellow cards.

The victory got St. James back to even at 3-3. As for Myrtle Beach, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

St. James suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Myrtle Beach when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can St. James avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
