Baseball Game Preview: Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters vs. George Washington Eagles

The Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters are taking a road trip to square off against the George Washington Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Abraham Lincoln will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Monday, Abraham Lincoln got the win against West Philadelphia by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Railsplitters have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, George Washington didn't have quite enough to beat Tacony Academy Charter on Monday and fell 8-7. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abraham Lincoln pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for George Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Abraham Lincoln took their victory against George Washington in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 18-1 score. Will the Railsplitters repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
