Softball Recap: Mooresville Christian Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mooresville Christian's offense. They came up short against the Monrovia Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

This is the second loss in a row for Mooresville Christian and nudges their season record down to 0-2. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season. As for Monrovia, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Mooresville Christian will face off against Traders Point Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Monrovia, they will challenge North Putnam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
