Volleyball Recap: Soquel Takes a Loss

After flying high against Aptos on Tuesday, Soquel came back down to earth. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Harbor Pirates on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.

Nathan McCarthy paced Soquel's offense, picking up eight kills. McCarthy got some help from Isaac Koontz and his 13 assists.

Soquel's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Harbor, they pushed their record up to 25-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Soquel will challenge Scotts Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harbor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
