Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Norton

While Norton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down the Ashland Clockers 69-50 on Friday. Given the Lancers' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Clockers are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norton's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Ashland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Norton will take on Norwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ashland, they will square off against North Attleborough at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
