If Hoover wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mount Miguel, they should've done a better job of containing Jade Williams. The Matadors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals on Tuesday with plenty of help from Williams, who had five kills, four digs, and four aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Norbenna Aquisap, who had three digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Mount Miguel is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Hoover, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
