Basketball Preview: Chamois Pirates vs. Christian Fellowship

The Chamois Pirates are on the road again on Monday and plays Christian Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Chamois will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 348th, while the are ranked 153rd).

Last Tuesday, Chamois earned a 44-31 win over the Shamrocks.

Meanwhile, Christian Fellowship had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against North County Christian by a score of 68-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Christian Fellowship's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Davis, who scored 22 points along with two steals. Davis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Chamois' win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Christian Fellowship, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
