Basketball Game Preview: East Moline Christian Eagles vs. Quad Cities Christian Eagles

The East Moline Christian Eagles will head out to face off against the Quad Cities Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, East Moline Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 25-21 to Morning Star Academy. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, Quad Cities Christian came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 68-22 win over the Knights. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 27 points or more this season.

East Moline Christian better keep an eye on Tanner Garant. He was instrumental in Quad Cities Christian's win, going 9 of 14 on his way to 19 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cobie Becker-Paradiso, who posted ten points in addition to six blocks and three steals.

Quad Cities Christian pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for East Moline Christian, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

East Moline Christian took a serious blow against Quad Cities Christian in their previous meeting back in February, falling 51-16. Thankfully for East Moline Christian, Seth Karl (who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points along with six steals and five assists) won't be suiting up this time.
