Basketball Recap: Bath County Takes a Loss

Bath County lost against Greenup County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats had to suffer through an 89-56 loss at the hands of the Musketeers. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greenup County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameryn Chaffins, who shot 45% from the field en route to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasey Gammon, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

Bath County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Greenup County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Bath County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Powell County at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026. Greenup County and Chesapeake will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
