Russell had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the North Laurel Jaguars on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Considering Russell have won 11 matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit North Laurel with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Stamper (3), Lily Ervin (2), Kaelyn Howard (2), and Ava Barker.

The win was the fourth in a row for Russell, bringing their record up to 14-3-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matches. As for North Laurel, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-1.

Looking ahead, Russell will venture away from home to take on Lexington Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Laurel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
