There's no place like home for Wake County HomeSchool, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks on Friday. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 13-10 loss the last time these two teams met.
Sean Darrigrand looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Avery Martin and Jace Jones did most of the damage at the plate: Martin went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Jones got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. That's the most RBI Martin has posted since back in March.
