Softball Recap: Malone Tigers vs. Jefferson County Tigers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Malone). Everything went their way against Jefferson County on Friday as Malone made off with a 29-7 victory. Malone hasn't had any issues with Jefferson County recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Arielle Dickens made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off two hits. Those two earned runs gave her a new career-low. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Jordin Josey was a standout: she scored three runs and stole seven bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of C Garrett, who scored four runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Malone always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
