After a string of four wins, Brantley County's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 68-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thomasville Bulldogs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), the Herons still had to take the loss.

Brantley County's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Thomasville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brantley County will venture away from home to take on Jeff Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brantley County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Jeff Davis likes a good challenge. As for Thomasville, they will head out on the road to face off against Brookwood at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Brookwood will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Thomasville surely won't give up without a fight.
