Basketball Game Preview: Highland Tech Rams vs. East Gaston Warriors + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Highland Tech will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After both having extra time off, they and the East Gaston Warriors will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Highland Tech earned a 54-41 win over Pinnacle Classical Academy. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Highland Tech found their leader in freshman Darius Stinson Jr, who went 7-for-16 on his way to 25 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Irvin Thompson, who posted four points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for East Gaston last Friday. They strolled past Chase with points to spare, taking the game 58-39.

Highland Tech better keep an eye on Ramon De La Oz III. He was instrumental in East Gaston's win, putting up 14 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Evan Murphy, who had seven points in addition to 11 boards and three steals.

East Gaston's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Highland Tech, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Highland Tech beat East Gaston 62-53 in their previous meeting back in February. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
