Basketball Recap: Bloomingdale Takes a Loss

Bloomingdale was the 45-40 winner over Sickles when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bloomingdale Bulls took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sickles Gryphons on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (57), the Bulls still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Bloomingdale still got an impressive performance from Kedrin Evans, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 27 points. With that strong performance, Evans is now averaging an impressive 18 points per game. Another player making a difference was Reed Crotwell, who posted 12 points.

Sickles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jackson Byam, who put up 11 points and four steals. That's the most steals Byam has posted since back in November of 2024. Ov Nicholson was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven boards.

Bloomingdale's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Sickles, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Bloomingdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-39 victory against Chamberlain on the 30th. As for Sickles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 91-71 win against Sumner on the 30th.
