Basketball Recap: Trey Whitehurst's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Unity Christian Academy over Varsity Opponent

Unity Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The contest between them and Varsity Opponent didn't end well, with the Unity Christian Academy Warriors falling 46-29. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-33 back in November of 2024.

Unity Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Whitehurst, who posted eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and three steals. Whitehurst is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Talen Swanner, who had 13 points.

Unity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
