Soccer Game Preview: Monadnock vs. Prospect Mountain

The Monadnock Huskies are taking a road trip to take on the Prospect Mountain Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Monadnock has given up an average of 4.9 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Monadnock's offense. They came up short against Conant on Saturday, falling 9-0. That's two games in a row now that Monadnock have lost by exactly nine goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Prospect Mountain was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to Stevens. While losing is never fun, Prospect Mountain can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Stevens are ranked fifth).

Prospect Mountain has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Monadnock, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
