Soccer Game Preview: Vero Beach vs. Jupiter

The Vero Beach Indians will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against the Jupiter Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Vero Beach's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Tradition Prep as Vero Beach made off with an 8-0 win. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Pirates are ranked 502nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Jupiter entered their tilt with Royal Palm Beach on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 8-0 victory. Give the Warriors' defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Jupiter's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those six games. As for Vero Beach, the victory got them back to even at 4-4-3.
