Baseball Game Preview: American Heritage Stallions vs. Jensen Beach Falcons

American Heritage is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Wednesday. They will venture away from home to square off against the Jensen Beach Falcons at 6:00 p.m. The last four games American Heritage has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Monday, American Heritage narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past St. John Paul II Academy 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Noah Garfinkel tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because American Heritage is 6-3 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-6 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Ashley, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Jensen Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Suncoast.

Patrick Campbell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Jensen Beach's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for American Heritage, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
