Softball Recap: Garfield Has No Trouble Against Auburn Mountainview

On Thursday, the Garfield Bulldogs got the win against the Auburn Mountainview Lions by a conclusive 16-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Jordana King was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Mae Valenta was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

King wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Garfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Auburn Mountainview only managed eight hits.

Garfield's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Garfield will face off against Lake Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Auburn Mountainview, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Auburn Mountainview Lions take on Bonney Lake Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
