Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Royall's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Royall saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Lourdes Knights by a score of 2-0.

Bria Gruen paced Royall's offense, picking up 12 kills. Gruen got some help from Elizabeth Klipstein and her 24 assists. Laya Wainwright controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Royall is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Lourdes, they moved to 17-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Coincidentally, Royall and Lourdes will both be playing Montello the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Hilltoppers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
