Flag Football Game Preview: Boulder Creek Jaguars vs. Deer Valley Skyhawks + Official Tickets

The Boulder Creek Jaguars will take on the Deer Valley Skyhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Thursday.

Boulder Creek proved they can win big back in September (they won by 48) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Chandler 17-14. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Jaguars were the better team in the second half.

Boulder Creek found their leader in freshman Sophia Coffman, who threw for 128 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 60 yards.

Boulder Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lauren Grunert and Giora Adame.

Meanwhile, Deer Valley strolled past Mohave with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 19-3.

A big part of Deer Valley's victory came down to the chemistry between Allison Morris and her top target Deja Ayers. Morris threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns while Ayers picked up 105 receiving yards and one score.

Deer Valley didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Mohave to a completion percentage of just 44.4%. The Skyhawks hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.52 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Boulder Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Deer Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
