The Cactus Cobras came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Queen Creek and snuck past 69-66. 69 seems to be a good number for Cactus as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Cactus had a senior duo take command as Bradey Henige dropped a double-double on 29 points and 21 rebounds and Tyler Hutton dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Henige has scored at least 25% of Cactus' points.
Cactus pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Queen Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
