Baseball Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

Jefferson County managed to slip by Northeast the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors came up short against the Raiders on Wednesday, falling 21-13. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 16-15.

Camden Dukes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mason Tungate, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

Jefferson County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Northeast, their record now sits at 9-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson County will challenge Glascock County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northeast, they will take on East Laurens at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
