Football Recap: Ball Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Ball's offense. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Port Arthur Memorial Titans. While losing is never fun, the Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while the Titans are ranked 48th).

Corieon Sanders threw for 124 yards on 14 of 22 attempts. Jeramon Charles was his top target, picking up 106 receiving yards.

Ball has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Port Arthur Memorial, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ball is set to face off against their familiar foe Beaumont United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Port Arthur Memorial will challenge rival Barbers Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
