Softball Recap: Bishop Loughlin Wins Going Away Against Holy Cross

Bishop Loughlin won against Nazareth last Tuesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Bishop Loughlin put the hurt on the Holy Cross Knights with a sharp 11-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Isabella Duverge was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Kendal Borden was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop Loughlin and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Holy Cross is headed away from home for the first time to take on St. John's Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Loughlin will be paying especially close attention to Holy Cross' match: after Holy Cross faces off against St. John's Prep, they'll take on Bishop Loughlin again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
