Volleyball Recap: Del Norte Takes a Loss

Del Norte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Albuquerque Academy Chargers, falling 3-0. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-4, 25-19.

Cristal Hernandez paced Del Norte's offense, picking up five kills. Hernandez got some help from Sage Gurule and her seven assists. Gurule was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Del Norte's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Albuquerque Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-6.

Del Norte wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Valley on the 17th. As for Albuquerque Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Bernalillo on the 16th.
