Soccer Game Preview: Livermore vs. Las Lomas

The Livermore Cowboys will challenge the Las Lomas Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Las Lomas better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Livermore really get things going. Livermore never let Foothill onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cowboys as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

They hit Foothill with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mohammed Sajad, Trevor Crouch, and Mason Franks.

Meanwhile, Las Lomas narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Campolindo 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given the Knights' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 501st, while the Cougars are ranked 57th).

Las Lomas now has a winning record of 6-5-3. As for Livermore, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-2.
