Monsignor Farrell is a perfect 5-0 against Cardinal Hayes since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Monsignor Farrell Lions challenge Cardinal Hayes Cardinals at 4:15 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Monsignor Farrell managed to slip by Iona Prep the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Monsignor Farrell lost 8-0 to Iona Prep on Monday.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Hayes was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against St. Francis Prep, falling 16-0.

Cardinal Hayes saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Cepeda, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double.

Cardinal Hayes' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Monsignor Farrell, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Monsignor Farrell beat Cardinal Hayes 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Does Monsignor Farrell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cardinal Hayes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
