Preview: New Berlin Eisenhower Lions vs. Oak Creek Knights
The New Berlin Eisenhower Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Oak Creek Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Berlin Eisenhower knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Oak Creek likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, New Berlin Eisenhower was able to grind out a solid victory over Whitnall, taking the game 60-52. Given New Berlin Eisenhower's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Whitnall is ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Oak Creek was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 40-39 to Franklin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Oak Creek has scored all season.
New Berlin Eisenhower is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Oak Creek, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3.
New Berlin Eisenhower couldn't quite finish off Oak Creek in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 and fell 47-45. Can New Berlin Eisenhower avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
