Oak Ridge fell victim to Powell and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Oak Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikee Teasley, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Camden Britton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Oak Ridge's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Powell, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Ridge will take on Maryville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Powell, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Powell Panthers challenge King's Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
