It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Central had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the West Morgan Rebels. Considering the Wildcats have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the ninth in a row for Central, bringing their record up to 18-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for West Morgan, they moved to 10-22 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central beat the Rebels by a score of 11-6 later that day.
