Soccer Recap: Harvard-Westlake Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Harvard-Westlake's offense. They fell just short of the St. Augustine Saints by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Saints are ranked 44th).

Harvard-Westlake now has a losing record at 2-3-1. As for St. Augustine, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Harvard-Westlake wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against Bishop Alemany on the 3rd. St. Augustine has also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against De La Salle on the 30th.
