Baseball Game Preview: Immanuel Christian Warriors vs. Trinity Christian Gryphons

The Immanuel Christian Warriors will face off against the Trinity Christian Gryphons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Immanuel Christian came into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Front Royal HomeSchool by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caleb Fiala and Aidan Baxter put in work no matter where they played. Throwing, Fiala didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Baxter pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Fiala scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Baxter scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jonathan Salter was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Thomas Klapmust, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian came up short against Potomac School on Saturday and fell 12-9.

Isaac Norman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Grady Frank also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Immanuel Christian's record now sits at 0-2. As for Trinity Christian, their record is now 4-3.
