Sequatchie County took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They took down the Bledsoe County Warriors 26-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

A big part of Sequatchie County's win came down to the chemistry between Hunter Minton and his top target Luke Finch. Minton threw for 175 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes while Finch picked up 74 receiving yards and one score. Finch got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 68 yards.

It was truly a group effort as Braydon Lewis, Minton, and Lucas Eisenhardt picked up one apiece. Coming up, Sequatchie County will head out to face off against Signal Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bledsoe County, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Whitwell at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
