Volleyball Recap: Spring Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

Spring Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Banff Bears, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-12, 25-12.

Banff's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amairah Kamal, who had ten assists and six aces. That's the most aces Kamal has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Miriam Neilsberg, who had seven kills, four blocks, and two aces.

Spring Baptist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Banff, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Spring Baptist Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Still Creek Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Banff, they will square off against Northland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
