Basketball Recap: Victory Baptist Academy Skates Past Pipestem Christian Academy with Ease

The third road match was the charm for Victory Baptist Academy, as they earned their first road win of the season. They claimed a resounding 49-20 victory over the Pipestem Christian Academy Panthers.

Victory Baptist Academy was led to victory by Kaydan Mooney and Jada O'Neal. Mooney dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards, while O'Neal posted 14 points and five steals. Mooney is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sydney Thomas, who had seven points and ten rebounds.

The win got Victory Baptist Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Pipestem Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Baptist Academy will head out to take on Cross Lanes Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pipestem Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greater Beckley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th.
