Soccer Game Preview: St. Mary's Prep vs. Walled Lake Western

The St. Mary's Prep Eaglets are taking a road trip to square off against the Walled Lake Western Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, St. Mary's Prep turned things around against Avondale on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 6-1 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering St. Mary's Prep's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Avondale are ranked 275th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Walled Lake Western, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They never let Kettering get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

St. Mary's Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-7-3. As for Walled Lake Western, they now have a winning record of 9-8-2.
