Volleyball Recap: Tahquitz's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Tahquitz was the 3-0 winner over Rancho Verde when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Titans' undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why Tahquitz lost, don't look at Marley Tuliau. Despite the final result, she had ten kills, seven digs, and three blocks. Tuliau is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Jaden Gonzalez was another key player, getting 25 assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tahquitz fell to 2-1. As for Rancho Verde, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Tahquitz will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hemet at 5:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Rancho Verde, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge La Sierra at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
